When can I get back in the game?

“40 But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Hmmmmmmmm…. I woke up this morning with so much on my mind, my heart. In the past year, I’ve asked God over and over what Lord? What do you want me to do with my life? I’m not doing enough, if anything, really. What am I doing that’s having impact on this world? You’ve given me this wonderful life … and yet am I squandering it away? What is that good portion? How long does the good portion last? When do I get to do the doing of the good portion?

Hehehehe. Wait a minute. I believe the good portion is the doing. I mean the doing of sitting. I think when the good portion is chosen then that’s where the blessing is. When I choose to sit at the foot of the cross, my heart can be refreshed. It’s in the refreshing of my heart where the love can grow, where fear doesn’t exist, where my soul rests.

It’s where I am able to look out at this world and see compassion instead of hate, love instead of fear, hope instead of despair. It’s where I am able…
