Sleepy, yet wide awake

Just when I start to fall asleep, something wakes me and I wonder why??? 😎

Seriously! I want to say I miss sharing in the past few years. I don’t. I didn’t, don’t have, haven’t had the heart, the hope, the dreams, the joy, the peace, I thought I would always have. I’ve reread some of the pieces I’ve written — I thought about you America, today, the abandoned boat and us, the absence of good.

Where am I? I opened a Substack account. Same content. Why? Why would I try something else that’s very similar yet…

I’ve struggled with hope in the past few years. More so recently. It’s still in me. I feel lost and alone. I’m not. Yet I feel it.

The verse above 👆🏽 from Genesis 1:1 woke me up 💯. It reminds me of who we are in relation to our world.

We are part of something grander than ourselves. It’s not separate from us, but greater. It’s this cool world we live in. The one we share with each other.

The heavens and the earth…

Times are hard. Hearts are heavy. Fear is trying to permeate the air, the soul, the spirit. It’s not like this for everyone or all the time.
