Merriam-Webster defines new as 1 : having recently come into existence : recent, modern; 2a(1) : having been seen, used, or known for a short time : novel; (2) : unfamiliar; b : being other than the former or old.

That’s pretty cool isn’t it? So many things to talk about. A new year. A new decade. A new chance. A new beginning. :) And yet… the old, the past beckons in some way. Tomorrow is a day filled with events from the past which lead up to it. Decisions we made at some point in our lives. Some decisions we had control over and others…

Dandelions are beautiful. Did you know they have multiple layers of purpose? Medicinal, beauty, fun to play with when it’s time for the seeds to fly away, good for salads, and on and on. Apparently they also seem to grow in all kinds of weather.

I was really surprised when I saw this dandelion. It was cold outside. Okay, it was probably in the 60s, unusually warm for this time of year, but still. :) It was a nice surprise. That’s our life isn’t it? In the middle of a season, a surprise pops up. And if we’re open to it, we see it. You know?
